VOJVODJANSKA BANK DONATION FOR THE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING PEOPLE

In order to support deaf and hard of hearing people in Serbia, which according to official data, are about 130,000 Vojvodjanska bank donated computers and institutions-organizations in Nis: School with boarding school `Bubanj" and the City Organization of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Nis.

Following the welcome by Snezana Čarapić, director of the School and boarding school "Bubanj" the present at this ceremony were welcomed by the president of Palilula Municipality Boban Džunić. This activity of Vojvodjanska Bank is laudable and I express my appreciation for the taken decision.

School with boarding school "Bubanj," which has its headquarters in Palilula municipality, was founded in 1953 as a school and the home of a deaf and mute children. Today it is a modern institution that applies modern technical means and methods in the treatment of people with many disorders and disabilities and is an example of good practice.

The president of the City organization of the deaf and hard of hearing Zvonimir Stojanovic thanked for the donation. "Donating computers, according to Zorica Džida, manager for corporate and social responsible businesses of Vojvodjanska Bank, is a part of donor actions of Vojvodjanska Bank, which was launched in order to support the deaf community in Serbia. She handed the voucher on the donation of computers to the head master of school, Snezana Čarapić and the President of the Organization Zvonimir Stojanovic. As part of this action, Vojvodjanska Bank will donate more than 60 computers to schools for deaf and hard of hearing children, Deaf Union of Serbia and organizations for deaf throughout Serbia.
